One challenge that many people identified was linking global learning in the curriculum with local community engagement and making this connection clear for students. This bridges issues of the global-local continuum, as well as challenges in service learning.
Some questions taken from the profiles submitted for the Global Learning Forum:
How can we link classroom learning about global issues with practical action locally?
How can we get students to care enough to challenge the status quo and to want to take action to address global problems?
How can we use local service to help students maintain optimism in the face of daunting global problems?
